I'm a front-end web developer and a kickass Scrabble player. Here are a few more things about me:
Choose a theme:
A jobs marketplace connecting musicians and venues; rebuilt from the ground up in React with a team of three to five devs, no designer, and intense product requirements.
A hand-coded minimalist blog with a custom flexbox grid created with the narrow purpose of delivering a digestible quantity of news to one person — the titular Kaitlin — every day.
A Node.js-based app built in a three-person team with the Google Maps and Bands in Town APIs that allows users to find what concerts are happening near them and get ticket information.
A full-CRUD, Bootsrapped, Ruby on Rails app created during a one-week sprint that allows users to make an account and maintain a list of their favorite Pokémon.
A MEAN-stack app that allows users to write stories based on emoji prompts. Features a Material Design-based layout that cycles through color schemes with a click and content served up with some randomization.
I have contributed essays to dozens of publications, ranging from Reader's Digest to Bitch Magazine and published a book of essays. At some point in the future, I'll get back to writing — hopefully about coding — but right now I'm using all of my creative and analytical juices on web development. In the meantime, for a partial list of my publications go here and for information about my book go here.
